Most people think of salad as the uninviting side dish that you have to eat to stay healthy. While there are some tasty side salads, like a classic caesar, salads can be great as the main course. My favorite salad to have as an entree is taco salad. It contains sautéed ground beef with Simply Organic Spicy Taco Seasoning Mix, cheddar cheese, cherry or grape tomatoes, green onion, avocado, iceberg or romaine lettuce, and some crushed up Fritos for crunch. You can also add a can of Bush's baked beans to the meat while it's cooking. Another great salad is West Texas Cobb. It has mixed greens, corn, black beans, tomato, red onion, avocado, smoked gouda, and cilantro-ranch dressing. We also have Niçoise salad a lot. It contains romaine lettuce, sliced hard boiled eggs, tuna in olive oil, green onions, tomatoes, green beans, red potatoes, and lemon-oil vinaigrette. Melissa D'Arabian has the ingredients and directions of how to make the dressing. The last salad that is a great meal is Steak salad. It consists of mixed greens, tomatoes, artichoke hearts, black olives, feta cheese, balsamic vinaigrette, and sliced grilled stake. Now, salad can be a treat instead of a trouble.
